Virtual Flights, 100% Real Connections: BNI Airlines' Vision
The pandemic challenged us as human beings, and amidst the uncertainty brought by COVID-19, it sparked creativity, encouraged community thinking, and led us to explore new ways of connecting. This is how BNI Airlines was born.
Every week, BNI chapters meet globally, but during the pandemic, one meeting was not enough. To address this, Peruvian member Daniel Chirinos decided to visit other chapters across different regions more frequently. His idea quickly spread and soon evolved into a professional initiative connecting communities. As a marketing expert, Daniel created a WhatsApp group to help other members coordinate these virtual trips.
What began in 2020 as a need to break down borders has now become an integral part of BNI’s value. This global online networking access opens up business opportunities, acting as a true innovation that creates a global village, shortens distances, and serves as a real gateway to new markets.
“Chirinos understood that traveling and doing business worldwide doesn’t have to be just aspirational—it can be a reality. Today, BNI Airlines is a fully virtual airline. We have adopted the language of travelers, incorporating tools such as an air traffic control tower, simultaneous translation services, online check-in, a VIP lounge, a pilot, co-pilot, flight attendant, and even passports for travelers,” explained Viridiana Domínguez, Global Director of BNI Airlines.
By 2022, BNI Airlines had reached six flights per week, and today, it offers a true flight towards business opportunities of all kinds, regardless of the destination. This model is set to expand as an example of business support and global networking.
